I think one of the most beautiful feelings in life is loving yourself.
When we start loving ourselves, we slowly stop worrying about who is talking to us and who is not.
We become happy in our own company.
And honestly, one of the times when I feel the happiest in life is when I complete something from my to-do list. 😂
For example, waking up at 4 AM, going to the terrace, closing my eyes, opening my arms and simply feeling the cold morning air…
That feeling is honestly mind-blowing. ❤️
For those few minutes, I forget everything.
My problems.
Things people have said to me.
Things that are going on in my life.
Everything just disappears for a while.

The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – Some Things Take Me a Little Longer to Understand
I wish I could understand things at the right time.
But honestly, that doesn’t happen with me. 😂
I understand some things very late.
Sometimes I look back and think,
“Yaar, why didn’t I understand this earlier?”
But maybe that’s also a part of growing up.
We don’t learn everything at the same time.
Some lessons only make sense after we experience them ourselves.
And now, I have started understanding the importance of being happy with myself.
The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – My Father’s One Habit That I Finally Started Loving
My father has always wanted his children to wake up early in the morning.
And trust me, I have been scolded by him so many times because I didn’t want to wake up early. 😂
When I was younger, I never understood why waking up early was such a big deal for him.
But today, waking up early has become one of the things that can completely change my day.
When I wake up early, go to the terrace and just sit there quietly for a few minutes, I feel so peaceful.
Funny how something we once hated can become something we later love.
The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – When You Love Yourself, You Don’t Always Need Someone Around
Earlier, I wrote that when we love ourselves, we don’t always need someone around us.
And while writing that, something came to my mind about my own nature.
If I don’t like someone or something about a person doesn’t feel right to me, I usually distance myself from that person without saying much.
And this isn’t only about people outside my family.
I sometimes do the same thing with relatives too.
I prefer staying away rather than continuously being around someone I don’t feel comfortable with.
Honestly, this has been my nature since childhood.
But as we grow older, we start understanding something important—
Being comfortable alone is good, but relationships are important too.
The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – A Conversation With My Brother That Changed My Thinking
There was a time when I was working in an office.
Initially, everything was going really well.
But slowly, I started creating distance from almost everyone there.
Sometimes I didn’t like someone’s way of talking.
Sometimes I didn’t like something someone did.
Sometimes I just felt that I didn’t connect with someone.
One day, I was sitting at home feeling sad.
My brother asked me,
“What happened?”
I started telling him about one girl from my office.
I said,
“Yaar, you know Zoya? I really don’t like her. She is like this, she is like that…”
My brother listened.
Then I started talking about another person.
Then another.
I kept telling him about different people and why I didn’t like them.
Finally, my brother stopped me and asked,
“Did you have a fight with all of them?”
I said,
“Yes! Everyone there is so irritating.” 😂
And then he started laughing.
He said,
“If you have a problem with one person, maybe that person is the problem. But if you have a problem with everyone, then maybe the problem isn’t with them. Maybe the problem is with you.”
I went completely blank for a few minutes.
I kept thinking,
“Am I actually a bad person? Why did my brother say that?”
That one sentence stayed in my mind for the entire day.
The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – Sometimes We Are the Problem Too
Today, when I look back at that situation, I actually laugh at myself.
Sometimes we become like children again.
We take a small thing and make it so big in our minds that the other person starts looking completely wrong to us.
And we start believing that we are always right.
But growing up has taught me that sometimes we can also be the problem.
Not every person who behaves differently from us is a bad person.
Not everyone will think like us.
Not everyone will communicate the way we want.
And not every uncomfortable situation needs to end with us completely cutting someone off.
Sometimes we just need a little understanding.
The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – Being Alone and Being Lonely Are Two Different Things
Today, I understand that spending time with yourself is very important.
But that doesn’t mean we should completely disconnect ourselves from everyone.
Being alone and being lonely are two different things.
I actually enjoy spending time alone.
I like having my own space.
I like sitting quietly and thinking.
I like going to the terrace early in the morning.
I like completing my little to-do list and feeling happy about it.
But at the same time, I have also understood that relationships are important.
There are moments in life when we need our family.
We need our friends.
We need someone to talk to.
The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – Money Can Buy Many Things, But Not Everything
We can earn money.
We can buy things.
We can travel.
We can build a comfortable life.
But when it comes to enjoying those things, sharing happiness and creating memories, we still need people.
What is the point of having everything if you have no one to share your happiness with?
Sometimes you need a friend to celebrate with.
Sometimes you need family when life becomes difficult.
Sometimes you simply need someone who will sit beside you without asking too many questions.
That’s why I don’t think the goal of self-love should be,
“I don’t need anyone.”
I think the real goal should be,
“I can be happy with myself, but I also know how to value the people who matter to me.”
The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – Attachment Is Not Always Bad
I have read many times that we should never become attached to anyone.
But I don’t completely agree with that.
Why shouldn’t we get attached?
We are human beings.
Getting attached to people is natural.
When you spend time with someone, care about them, share memories with them and become emotionally connected, attachment is bound to happen.
The important thing is not whether you get attached.
The important thing is how much control that attachment has over you.
Your happiness should not completely depend on one person.
Your entire identity should not disappear because someone leaves.
And you shouldn’t forget yourself just because you love someone.
Love people.
Care about them.
Build relationships.
Create memories.
But don’t lose yourself in the process.

The Most Beautiful Feeling in Life Is Loving Yourself – Maybe This Is What Life Is Teaching Me ❤️
For me, self-love doesn’t mean living completely alone.
It doesn’t mean cutting everyone off.
It doesn’t mean saying,
“I don’t need anybody.”
For me, self-love means being comfortable with myself while still valuing the people around me.
It means knowing when I need some alone time.
It means knowing when I need my family.
It means understanding that sometimes I am right, but sometimes I can also be wrong.
It means learning to accept my mistakes.
It means enjoying my own company without pushing everyone else away.
Maybe the best way to live life is to be with everyone while still knowing how to be with yourself.
And maybe this is one of the biggest lessons I am slowly learning in life:
Attachment is normal. Loving people is normal. Needing people is normal.
But the control over your life should always remain in your own hands. ❤️
