Mahadev Shiva The Origin Mysteries and the Eternal Consciousness Beyond Time
Do you know when and how Lord Shiva was born? There is a famous story behind this. It is believed that Lord Shiva was never born, which is why He is called eternal — the one who always existed and will always exist, with no beginning and no end.
According to the Shiva Purana, once Brahma and Vishnu were arguing about who was more powerful. Their debate became so intense that suddenly a massive pillar of light appeared between them — an infinite column of divine energy. This radiant light was believed to be the form of Shiva.
It was declared that whoever could find the beginning or the end of that pillar would be considered the greatest. Brahma went upward to find the top, and Vishnu went downward to find the bottom, but neither of them could find its limit. From that endless light, Shiva manifested.
In simple words, Shiva’s “birth” is not like that of a human being. That is why He is called Mahadev and Mahakaal — the Supreme God who is beyond time and eternal.
